Microgaming have now introduced a fortnightly freeroll event on the old favourite Thunderstruck 2 slot. This will be an ongoing tournament and can be played at my favourite Microgaming casinos Nedplay Casino and 32Red Casino (in the download versions).
It’s called a ’20k Tournament’ but this eludes to the total tournament prize money which is spread amongst the Top 10 players, the winner receiving $4k and the tenth, $500. Additionally, 11th down to 100th splits 5,000 in bonus chips ranging from $400 for 11th. down to $5 for 100th. There are up to 999 continues allowed which give 12 minutes/12k in coins at a max stake of 300 coins.
Seeing as the continues cost $2.50 each, the winner of the 4k will make $1500 and second $500. So effectively if there are (as usual!) several big punters chasing the top prizes you will only really be taking the gamble of spending $2.5k of your money hoping to hit a top-two position.
Without multitudes of re-buys you may hit a minor bonus cash position with one big lucky hit, but otherwise don’t be fooled by the ‘freeroll‘ label – a decent prize certainly won’t be ‘free’….
